to our REAL page!
Real Entrepreneurship through Action Learning (REAL) that
is!
- REAL is an experiential learning curriculum which middle
and high school teachers can use to enhance core competencies,
financial literacy, and community interaction, by introducing
students to entrepreneurship.
- Recent studies have shown improved scores in reading,
language, spelling, social studies and science for students
in entrepreneurial classes over those in non-entrepreneurial
classes.
- The Vermont Small Business Development Center (VtSBDC)
and the Vermont Business Education Corporation (VBEC) are
proud to host the REAL program in Vermont, and to offer
a statewide network for teacher support & development.
- There are over a dozen Vermont secondary schools currently
using the REAL curriculum, with ten more committed to participate
in a spring teachers training institute.
- REAL certification includes three graduate credits through
Union Institute and University.
